In 1961, a tradition began of recognizing outstanding Cal Poly Pomona alumni. What started with a single alum being chosen annually for outstanding academic, professional or community achievement has evolved into several individuals chosen from different colleges.

On June 6, seven Distinguished Alumni representing six colleges and The Collins School will be added to the honorable ranks. Those among this group include a high-profile accountant, a USGA turfgrass specialist, and a retired businessman and philanthropist, to name a few. Model United Nations Team Earns Honors at International Competition for Sixth Straight Year
A 16-student team from Cal Poly Pomona took home two awards at the National Model United Nations conference in New York April 14-19. The team, which represented Belize, garnered Distinguished Delegation as well as the Position Paper Award.

Cal Poly Pomona History Book Now Available
A vivid account of the history of Cal Poly Pomona is now in book form in California State Polytechnic University, Pomona - A Legacy and a Mission 1938-1989. Historian Donald H. Pflueger writes a story that recounts the university's beginnings from a high school to a Cal State polytechnic set amid a California history backdrop. The book contains over 30 historical photographs documenting the life of the university.

Proceeds from the sale of A Legacy and a Mission will go to the University Library. Read more...
