Computer Information Systems Alumni Banquet & Career Night
Feb. 2 This banquet will provide an opportunity for students to make a connection with alumni and learn more about the vast career opportunities available in the field of information technology. LA Phil Returns to Pomona
Feb. 6 Music from the Romantic era will be spotlighted when the Los Angeles Philharmonic returns to Pomona for a special community performance. Cal Poly Pomona Planners Name 2008 Dale Prize Winners
Feb. 6 Paul Farmer and Marvin Malecha will be honored for excellence in urban planning and will engage in a lively discussion of planning and design at the Dale Prize Colloquium from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kellogg West Conference Center. The public is invited to the colloquium and a reception, which starts at 5 p.m. All events are free of charge. This is the fifth year of the Dale Prize program, which recognizes planning excellence, creates dialogue between scholars and practitioners, and enriches planning education. Read more...
Political Satirist Songwriter Roy Zimmerman in Concert

Dr. Kathleen Davis has the competitive spirit that is needed to make a prominent name in the sports and entertainment industries. This innate quality has brought Davis to the top of her game, and she is currently a nationally-recognized expert in the field of Sport Economics and Sport Market Analysis.
Davis ’77, who earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, is the founder, president and CEO of the Sport Management Research Institute (SMRI) where her impressive clientele list includes top-notch athletic teams and events such as the 2008 Super Bowl, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars. Cal Poly Pomona is another important step closer to achieving carbon neutrality. The President's Climate Commitment Task Force has released a comprehensive inventory of the university's greenhouse gas emissions, with results showing the largest output of emissions coming from commuters. ASI Proposes $90 Million Recreation Center
This March, Cal Poly Pomona students will vote on a referendum that would raise fees by $149 per quarter in order to pay for a $90 million state-of-the-art, eco-friendly recreation center near the Bronco Student Center. Read more...
