12th Annual Information Technology Competition |
||
|
Cases to compete include: business systems analysis, computer forensics, Web application development and telecommunications. For each case, there is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize of $1,000, $500 and $250. This competition gives students the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills in front of industry professionals, creating an experience that helps students prepare for the corporate business world, develop their professional network and increase their knowledge of the Information Technology field. This competition is not only beneficial to the competitors, but is also a great opportunity for corporate sponsors and the audience. Corporate sponsors have the opportunity to recruit new talent into their organization as well as build awareness of their company through the competition. The audience and participants will benefit by watching and learning from the cases and our keynote speakers, who will be speaking about industry and transitioning to the working world. And above all, everyone will have an opportunity to network with each other, not only building relationships with each other but also between their schools and industry. The ITC planning committee is seeking support for the competition as it is the most expensive event of the year for the student club that is organizing the event, Management Information Systems Student Association. The planning committee is looking for sponsorships and judges. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, contact the committee at itc@calpolymissa.org. More information about the competition can be found at www.itcompetition.org. |
