Tracy Worley Hagen, who graduated with her bachelor's degree in kinesiology in '82, received a master's in business administration from Pepperdine University in '85. A renaissance woman, she is not only a skilled pianist, she also is remembered by head tennis coach Sandy Kriezel as a standout tennis player. Worley Hagen was team captain of the tennis team in 1981 and was named a Collegiate All American. She played at Wimbledon in 1982.

“Public service is a great way of giving back to the community that I grew up in,” says Worley Hagen, who was born and raised in Tustin. “Although my major was kinesiology, I wound up in politics, and all those competitive years on the tennis team helped me prepare for my life in politics.

Prior to entering public service, she worked in the medical management field, assisting in the set-up and administration of the Cardio Testing Center and the Outpatient Surgery Center in the Tustin area. Taking the motto “first, do no harm” with her into the public arena, Worley Hagen was appointed to the Tustin Parks and Recreation Commission and was elected to the Tustin City Council in April 1994. She is currently the Mayor Pro Tem for the city of Tustin , and also held the same position on four other occasions. Worley Hagen served Tustin 's mayor four times. In addition to city government, she is also involved with larger public entities and is chairman of the Orange County Fire Authority Board and a member of the OC Vector Control Board. Worley Hagen has also been a director for the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency. She maintains ties to Cal Poly Pomona and was the keynote speaker for the Cal Poly Pomona Women in Sports Scholarship Luncheon, “Her Story: A Salute to Women in Sports,” in 2005.

“Cal Poly Pomona gave me a great education and the tennis team was a huge part of that education,” says Worley Hagen, who has built a career out of service to others. Her goal in life is to leave the world a better place than she found it, and one of her major concerns is the urbanization of Orange County and the spiraling cost of housing. With that in mind, she says, “I have two children, and I don't want to leave them all our problems. We need to look now to solve the problems of the future.”

Worley Hagen lives with her husband and two children in Tustin.
